If you think the city of Milpitas is great, you're not the only one who thinks that. Milpitas was ranked by the Money Magazine #29 in the top 50 best small cities to live in the nation. Milpitas was chosen as one of the 50 because of it's good schools, such as Milpitas High, and although there isn't any downtown area, there is the Great Mall. It covers more than a million square feet of stores and restaurants. Pretty big, huh? Silicon valley is a world leader in the area of technology, and tech companies, such as Sandisk or Cisco are in Milpitas. According to the ABC news, Milpitas is a "well-educated, diverse city." This could prove that: 60%of the Milpitas population of 69,000 is Asian.

Medellin's Christmas Lights
Are you feeling the Christmas spirit? If you are, you're not the only one. The city of Medellin, Colombia used to be a city of drug violence. Now, the city puts up spectacular Christmas lights every year, and they shine everywhere, including the Medellin River. These bright lights can be seen in neighborhoods through January 12, from 6 P.M to 1 A.M. Channel One says that the entire scene feels like a carnival, with everybody staring- and a lot of people attend, too, about 4 million people go to see the lights. This spectacle is run by the EPM, a state utility company, who ensures that there is a different display each year. But where does the EPM get its sources to run all those lights? Well, in Channel One, it says that the EPM gets most of the sources from hydroelectric power. Also, locals like to remind people that there days of drugs are outdated. So, don't be so worried about crashing into a drunk driver. Instead, enjoy the view and have a great time at Medellin, Colombia!

Baby Gorilla at the San Diego Zoo
A four day old baby gorilla was just showed to public, and was born to Jessica and Paul Donn. The baby has not been named yet. However, the public did see him, when his mother took to a viewing area. The baby is only a few pounds, but his mother has been nursing him and cradling him, and also carries him when she is looking for food. Jessica is also mother to five other gorillas, but her first one with Paul Donn was this little one. Also, Paul Donn has been a dad four other times. This baby was number 6 to Jessica, but 5 to Paul Donn. He, the baby is a male, was born on December 26. It also has not been named yet. So, congratulations to the lucky gorilla parents for having been born to them, a little male baby gorilla!
